| Description and notes: |
Immediately after the apocalypse, a large group of people retreated into the wooded area in Madison to hopefully escape the inevitable chaos and eventually settled there as scattered camps that later on became definite homesteads. There is not much within the arboretum so bigger organized groups generally have no reason to claim the land or even visit it. As such they maintain amicable relations with almost everyone and are willing to help out an adventurer out, but aren't too pleased when someone overstays a welcome. Be aware that these people aren't Luddites or xenophobic shut-ins, they just happen to live away from others but aren't fully self-sufficient. Because of their neutral nature, it's recommended that people seek the Arboretum when they first come to Madison. |
